Our street's book club met tonight at Angie's.I enjoyed this book ... I don't usually enjoy the books that are chosen.
A highlight of tonight's book club meeting was that we had a conference call with the author, Franz Wisner. When I enjoy a book, I write to the author to tell them. I did it in this case too. Franz wrote back and said that he'd love to participate in our book club meeting. And he did!
He called us all the way from Orange County, CA. We talked with him for about an hour. It was a fun experience as we got to ask him questions like what he was doing now, what were his best/worst experiences, etc.
Buy the book! Read the book! Franz gets $1 for every book sold.

I think I've heard of this guy- I beleive he was on Oprah or something. If it's the guy I'm thinking of, it's an interesting story. I think that is so terrific that he called your grooup. What fun!
It's probably the same guy, Lisa, as he said they have been on Oprah. Since we all work during the day, none of us had seen it.
