There are people from all over the Commonwealth in attendance ... Australia, England, Isle of Man, etc. And to be a veteran, you must be over the age of 40.
In addition to the actual fencing tournaments, there are three social events:
- Welcome drinks - which we went to tonight
- BBQ in Thornhill tomorrow night - which Gord is going to
- Gala dinner Saturday night - which we are passing on since Gord has to fence bright and early Sunday morning
The welcome drinks were held in the Bank Vault, a bar which used to be the actual vaults of the Dominion Bank of Canada (King W/Yonge Street).

Wow!
I like to hear the fencing stories.
Very sporty - 3 days in a row. That's longer than Marathon. Skol and keep up smiling.
Great post
very cool! Good luck!!!
I fenced in High School (loved it). Good luck!
Sounds like a great convention and I do wish Gord the very best luck - and of course the both of you the very best time!
Btw: Tor and I still have fun (not to much fun LoL!) Today: Canoeing!
