Coronation Park, Toronto, ON

KC, Nova and I started our morning with a walk to Coronation Park. It's about a 15 minute walk south of us (30 minutes with KC cuz she likes to sniff everything along the way).

The National Yacht Club
Boats were heading out to spend the day on Lake Ontario
We passed Fort York on the way home. I thought this was an interesting contrast ... the grounds of the Fort built in 1793, with modern Toronto in the background. Fort York is an interesting historical site open to the public and is home to Canada's largest collection of original War of 1812 buildings.
Just behind the hedges in the middle of the picture (by the flagpole) are a couple walls with the remains of gravestones of soldiers from almost 200 years ago.

Ahhhh! Fort York... well, "Old" Fort York... or as the people that run it prefer, "Historic" Fort York... a home away from home for me... I love it so... thanks for the pictures!!
