High Park

KC and I went to High Park this morning (it's a 15 minute drive west of us). We were there for about two hours and had a great time!

We parked just east of the zoo. High Park spans 399 acres and we walked along the perimeter of the Park. We headed south towards the Queensway and then following Grenadier Pond.

You can catch the train for a tour if you want.

We followed the West Ravine Nature Trails.

KC found the plant that she loves and grazed for a bit.

Except for the far off sounds of traffic, you'd never know that we were in the middle of Canada's largest city!

It's hard to believe that at the top of this trail is one of Toronto's busiest streets, Bloor Street W!

See ... I told you!

I used to live in the apartment complex in the back (the beige buildings) for five years before I moved to where I live now in June 2001.

We walked along Bloor Street W.

Then we went back into the woods again and followed the Spring Creek Nature Trails.

We came across doggy hill.

And Dream in the Park, an outside theatre that puts on Shakespeare plays every summer.

Back on the trail again.

KC is still lively after our long walk.
