'Hood walk

Since you came along with KC and I yesterday on our Humber Bay Park walk and Monday on our High Park walk, I thought you'd like to join us on our walk around our 'hood.

We headed west along Queen Street W.

All you beautiful people probably recognize the Drake ... huge line-ups on the weekends!

KC stops at almost every tree ... gotta sniff!

This construction site (which will eventually be a condo) is driving me crazy! For a while, they were using our street to get to and from the site. Can you imagine a constant stream of LOUD dump trucks going up and down your street all day? Not acceptable, especially since we have "No truck" signs posted on our street. Contacting our city councillor has helped.

There's the Gladstone ... crazy karaoke on the weekends!

Trains and GO trains use that bridge.

Colourful graffiti on the walls under the bridge.

The bridge has been there for a long long time.

Then we headed south on Dufferin.

We turned east on Joe Shuster Way. This is a new development, built in the last couple of years.

I always let KC off her leash on this street so she can run away if she wants ... she never does.

The street veers south, towards King Street W. Lamport Stadium is at the end.

Looking towards downtown from the bend.

KC still hasn't run away.

We're heading east on King Street W.

This bridge is part of the same railway as the one we'd passed earlier but just a bit south.

There used to be a big problem with pigeons hanging out under the bridge. A couple years ago, they put up netting.

Now you can only get pooped on if you walk along the edge of the sidewalk. So be careful!

It's an old bridge with a lot of character.

Too bad someone put graffiti on the heritage plaque.

On the other side of the bridge still heading east.

If you keep going, you'll end up downtown.

  1. that looks like a nice peaceful blaze, apart from the one with the bulldozers of course!
