Polar Bear Dips

I caught a bit of Breakfast Television this morning and Jennifer Valentyne had done a Polar Bear Dip in Oakville. The air was -11C (-23C with the windchill) ... imagine how cold the water was!

It got me thinking of the two Polar Bear Dips Sister Sarah and I have done in the past.

Here we are in Veradero, Cuba, on January 1, 2000.


And here we are in Cancun, Mexico, on January 1, 1999.


The temperature on both days was probably a chilly 26C (79F) or higher. Brrrr!
