Thanks to Dave Carroll, my own claim against Northwest Airlines may see settlement. Last month, Northwest busted my $2000 mountain dulcimer while en route to a gig. Some of my fans suggested I write a song about the ordeal and "United Breaks Guitars" was posted in the interim. With a nod to Dave as well as Tom Paxton (whose "Thank You Republic Airlines" covers similar territory), my tune "Only A Northwest Song" was also posted on YouTube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x50pJe_QvQQ ) and caught the attention of the Chicago Tribune. I'm hoping that more people decide to do this sort of thing; maybe we'll see a change in airline policy towards musicians and their instruments. Thanks, Dave, for giving this ongoing dialogue a real shot in the arm!

Hey thanks for stopping by! And for reminding me about my blogoversary! I almost forgot. =)
Thanks for your kind greeting. I love the way blogging allows us to meet folk from all over the world.
Bless you!
Yeah saw that on The National last night. Excellent way to finally get a resolution from the airline. Also get pubicity for them.
I'm having trouble watching the video, but I can relate to lost luggage! Happy Weekend :)
Great Video.
Have you seen Irvin Leroux's video. Hope it goes viral too!
