Fruit of my labour

Finally!

I have a tomato of my own!

Even though it's too big to be the cherry tomato I thought it was supposed to be, I'll enjoy it ... no, savour it ... later today.

My neighbours are home from Japan so I can't raid their abundance of tomatoes anymore (I did have their permission).

With eight plants, it looks like I'm going to get a total of four tomatoes!

It is a beauty though, and would be great fresh off the vine in a toasted bacon/tomato sandwich!

Ah -- but they will be the BEST 4 tomatoes in the entire universe!

That sucks you didn't get many tomatoes this year. But that one looks really good.

at least you're ahead of me. I'm just starting to get tiny green tomatoes from my cherry tomato plants.

Congrats! I'm still patiently waiting for a single one to show any color. Out of nine plants I've got a couple of dozen babies, but they're all small and green still.
Here's hoping for a warm fall.

All of ours are still green. I'm really looking forward to them. :)

Wow I see 2 on there and you are getting 4 more.

I only got 2 off one plant and have one more hanging in there.

It's still green though. The weather has been really fickle and not good for veggies or plants of any kind.
