From Amazon ~ In Shut Up and Eat!, humorist and parenting author Kathy Buckworth applies her razor-sharp wit to the family meal. Experts claim that sitting down to eat together can prevent children from getting into trouble while simultaneously creating close-knit families, but what about the son who thinks his food tastes better on the blue plate or the daughter who won’t eat anything green? Laugh-out-loud funny — and more accurate than most of us would care to admit — Shut Up and Eat! is a must-read for any woman who’s ever wondered: What the hell am I cooking tonight?
I don't have kids but I found this to be a funny book.
At the beginning of the chapters, she quotes wisdom from the 1950s and then interprets it for today. I would have been a lousy wife back then!
Fun parenting techniques to get your kids to eat along with recipes with a great piece advice ... keep a bottle of wine handy.
