Le Local, Montreal, QC

My colleagues and I had supper in a private room at Le Local in Old Montreal tonight.

Because we were such a large group, we were given a few choices rather than the entire menu.

I started with a green salad with Le Local dressing.

I had the grilled "1855" beef flank steak with spiced BBQ butter, and potato fingerlings with cheese and bacon as my main dish.

Dessert was a chocolate square, ice cream and cherries.

I was soooo full by this time that I just ate the ice cream. Plus the square and cherries were very very sweet.

Tomorrow is Sophie's birthday so they gave her her dessert with sparklers ... which set off the fire alarms.

And here is the team!

The service was fabulous and the food was delicious!

The food looks great!. Funny story about the sparklers. You would have thought they would have done that before.
Creepy Doll eyes though!

The alarms totally sent off! It didn't help that she was sitting right under one when they brought in dessert and sparklers!

Funny about the sprinklers! I was at a Hindu wedding a few years ago and the buffet set off the fire alarm!
