There's an interesting article on Toronto Dog Blog today about whether your dog's food gets a passing grade.
They include a link to Dog Food Analysis where you can find out more info about your dog's food and whether it's recommended or not and why.
KC is really really really fussy. The only thing she'll eat is Purina's Top Choice. Alas, this isn't listed so I can't see that they think. It doesn't matter anyway because no matter how healthy or unhealthy it is, she won't eat anything else.
Yep sometimes pets blow all theories out of the water and stick to what they like.
ReplyDeleteonce i went to the doggie botique and got my dog the cutest cookie shaped like a bone, with icing and little bone shaped sprinkles on it. it was all natural, human grade, locally made.
ReplyDeleteI ate it on the way home.
It was freaking delicious!
You probably wouldn't like what you would see if they did have a review of PTC. All you need to do is take a look at any of the other Purina formulas, even their' "premium" lines are total junk and mostly corn and fillers. The lower quality foods are often sprayed with a fatty coating after manufacturing to make them more palatable and appealing to dogs. It's like taking a rotten banana out of the garbage and covering it with delicious caramel, it's still garbage. A lot of finicky dogs I know go nuts for just about any of the Orijen formulas. Worst case scenario, you can always add a little of chicken broth or hot water and let the kibble stand and soak for a couple minutes.
ReplyDeleteCheers:)
(thanks for the mention!)
