This year's crop

Sister Sarah and I used to meet somewhere for Victoria Day weekend every year.

The first weekend we did this, I came home to a nice surprise ... Gord had bought me a patio tomato plant. He despises tomatoes so this was quite an undertaking for him. I would eat those cherry tomatoes like candy! Yum!

Over the years, Gord was able to find amazing cherry plants while I've been away.

The last two years, Sister Sarah and I have met at different times so I've been around for the Victoria Day weekend. Gord and I have gone shopping for tomato plants together but I'd never been able to find the patio plants that he had found. So I bought what was there. Though I had taken good care of them, I didn't had much luck and didn't have much of a yield. Because of this, I decided not to get any this year.

I came home this evening to find that Gord had bought me a patio cherry tomato plant.

Needless to say, I've already eaten the ripe ones in the picture and they were delicious! And it looks like there will be lots for a while to come.

Thanks, Gord!
