Stratus Restaurant, Toronto, ON

I had a meeting downtown this morning with one of our sales guys and two consultants. I had to do a demo of one of our products.

Afterward, the sales guy took the four of us to lunch at the Stratus Restaurant. It is on the 36th floor in the TD Waterhouse Tower, located in Toronto Athletic Club, with a view of Lake Ontario and beyond.

Very nice!

Being a pub chick, I was a bit intimidated by the menu when I looked at it yesterday. Plus I tend to be a bit fussy.

I ordered the Stratus Kobe Burger - 6 oz, Oka cheese, roasted shitake, Korean bbq sauce, sweet potato frite.

Except I don't like cheese or mushrooms so I ordered it without them. And I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes so was able to substitute them for curried basmati rice.

See what I mean about being fussy?

The rice and burger were delicious! I'd never had Kobe beef before ... and it has a beefier taste.

It would be a lovely spot to have a glass of wine and watch the sun go down for a special occasion.
