I worked from home today and met my pal, Yvette, for lunch. While we were eating, my cell phone rang.
Me: Hello?
Caller: Where are you?!
Me: Who is this?
It was Gord. Apparently our 7:07pm game was starting at 12:37pm! Eeek!
I scampered to the game after I finished lunch.
I got there in the fifth inning. José Bautista had hit his 50th home run of the year in the first inning ... and I missed it. Gord got to experience it, though.
It was a great day for a game! The dome was open ...
Travis Snider at bat ...
Alas, Bautista didn't hit another home run ...
Our seats were great. During the seventh inning stretch, Ace was right in front of us!
The Jays won ... yay!
Not a big surprise that Bautista was interviewed right after the game.
