Adios, Punta Cana

Alas, it was time to leave Punta Cana and head for home.

We headed to the airport about 8:30 this morning.

Their airport is so different from Toronto's ... ours is so much bigger and we don't have any palm trees!

Our plane was due to leave at 11am ... here is Sister Sarah boarding.

But we were delayed for about an hour while they checked everyone's checked suitcase for "contraband". Plus there was gas spilled next to us that they had to clean up.

We got to Toronto about a half hour late and got through Customs okay. I bought Gord back four pints of rum (which I was allowed), a teeshirt and two bags of coffee beans.

Sister Sarah is flying on home to Halifax tonight. Her flight leaves at 7:30 and she will be home about 10:30. Definitely a long day for her! But she'll be home with her husband, Joey, and her four cats tonight.

Welcome Home!!!

Sounds like a great trip. I wish our airport had palm trees.
