This evening, my pal, Shawna, and I saw Easy A.
After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne's in "The Scarlet Letter," which she is currently studying in school - until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing. Starring: Emma Stone, Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet, Amanda Bynes, Malcolm McDowell
Shawna and I like to go to the movies. She let me pick tonight and I felt like something fun. I'd heard that this got good reviews (IMDB gave it 7.7/10).
It's a cute funny movie. Emma Stone as Olive is clever. Stanley Tucci and Partricia Clarkson play her cool parents ... I wish I had them as parents when I was growing up.
The only problem I had was remembering that they were still in high school ... they didn't act or dress like they were.
If you are looking for something light and silly, you should check this out.
We'd both had a hard day (I had to be up early to conduct a seminar and she had a medical procedure) so we parted ways after the movie and headed home.

I want to see this too. I'll wait for netflix though.
I love this movie! :) You're right, the high schoolers act way older than normal. But I think most teen flicks (dating back to the 80s) make high school kids seem far more mature and older than in reality. Lol. And omg yes I wish I had her parents growing up. Sigh. ;)
I wanted to see this movie, but have not had the time. Thanks for the mini-review!
we had that advertised over here too. I will have to check it out next time
