Yardwork on the terrace

We have a maple tree next to our terrace. It's gorgeous in the summer ... but I'm not a fan of it in the fall.

Here it is this afternoon, bare of leaves.

Where do you think all the leaves go?! Yep, on our terrace.

I was off today and planned on sweeping the leaves off our terrace yet again (the third time). I'm glad I got distracted for a while because the landscapers came by this afternoon, blowing and collecting the leaves off the common property.

This put more leaves on our terrace.

I got sweeping and here's the pile I ended up with.

Enough to almost fill a large garbage bag!

Doesn't it look great now? No more tracking leaves in for a while.

Our neighbour, Dawn, hasn't swept her terrace yet.

She still has a tree next to her terrace with lots of leaves ... we'll end up with some on our terrace again.

Yeah we have a bunch of leaves on in our patio. Sucks.

We only have two small trees, not nearly enough leaves to rake. Most trees around here are evergreens.

I got all sentimental seeing my old place. I almost felt like coming over and sweeping up the leaves. Just for old times sakes.
