Gretchen Rubin book event - Toronto

I read The Happiness Project over my Christmas vacation and really enjoyed it.

The author, Gretchen Rubin, had a book event this evening at the Indigo store in the Manulife Centre.

When I arrived, it was packed and I lucked out with a seat in the second row.

Gretchen spoke and took questions for about a half hour.

She talked about some of her twelve commandments:
  • Be Gretchen.
  • Act the way I want to feel.
  • No calculation.
She gave everyone quick hints to be happy:
  • Go to sleep earlier
  • Exercise better
  • Toss, restore, organize
  • Tackle a nagging problem
  • Act more energetic
  • Take time to be silly
Then she signed books.

That must have been interesting to attend. She had some interesting and positive things to say.
