Pub Crawl - Toronto Beer Lovers Meetup Group

Gord and I went on a pub crawl tonight with the Toronto Beer Lovers Meetup Group.

It was led by Ken Woods, President of Black Oak Brewing Co.

The first stop was the Monk's Table on Yonge Street, just north of the Summerhill subway.

Adam, the owner, took really good care of us. He had an area upstairs reserved.

He provided complimentary appetizers ... mussels, shrimp, fries, dips and chicken wings.

They also gave us a taste of Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van De Keizer Rood/Red ... it was yummy!

There were about 20 of us. Gord and I didn't know anyone but everyone was nice and friendly.

They took such good care of us that it was hard to leave.

Then it was on to The Rebel House, just south on Yonge Street.

They opened the back patio for us.

Here are Ken and Gord (probably talking about beer).

There was supposed to be a third stop but Gord and I headed home. It was getting late and we figured that we wouldn't be able to get into the next place (it's small and the hockey game probably had it jammed).

A fun time and we're looking forward to the next one!

  1. Sounds like a great evening. Those pubs are pretty close to where you work - right?
