The 99 MRKT is in our 'hood this afternoon so Gord and I walk over to check it out.
There were lots of artists so it's a great place if you are looking for something unusual.
If you're hungry, you could buy some natural baked goods, organic veggies, fresh pulled pork sandwich and coffee beans.
The best find for me was coming across Augie's Ice Pops. I've been reading about them a lot lately. They squeeze, juice and puree all their own fruit and use only fresh herbs and zests for their homemade Ice Pops.
Gord bought me a mandarin-strawberry one and it was good, especially the strawberry bottom.
Here I am with Janet, the owner. We had a great chat with her ... she's very nice!
The 99 MRKT is scheduled to be held twice more before the end of the summer. We were talking with Marco, the owner of the property, and he is thinking about getting some craft beer vendors in. It should be interesting to see how the 99 MRKT develops.
I wish we had a market like that around here or even a Sunday Farmers Market, they all seem to be Saturday and we haven't been able to make it out once.
