The questions mount up, along with the suspects. This was a very quick read ... it's about 130 pages.
It sounded like a good story. But because it is such a short book, nothing gets fleshed out very well. It's very high level, quick and, before you know it, the murders have been solved. And I wasn't buying any of it.
And that's why I don't like short stories and novellas. Had I known it was a novella, I wouldn't have borrowed it.

That sounds like a good quick read. I like short stories because it means that I may finish in a couple of sittings instead of many sittings. I am a slow, take it all in and digest it kind of reader.

Before I read your post, I saw a book.. and said to myself... "Wow, she really reads a lot of books..." But then you mention how short it was! I don't like short stories either - I like something I can sink my teeth into and enjoy for a while, think about.
