Wanna come on a two hour/9km walk with me?

I wanted to get some exercise but I didn't feel like being stuck in the gym ... so I went for a long brisk walk instead. I ended up being gone for just over two hours and walked 9km.

I headed west along Queen Street W. It was jammed with traffic and pedestrians.

I crossed the bridge where Queen W, King W and Roncesvalles meet. There was lots of traffic heading into the downtown core.

I headed west along the boardwalk towards Sunnyside Pavillion.

There it is!

I turned around and headed east again along the boardwalk on the Waterfront Trail.

I came across a pink bike which is part of the Good Bike Project.

The trail then veered away from the water and hugged the Lakeshore.

Oh oh ... looks like someone got caught speeding!

The trail veered back along the water. Yay!

I paused to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Back on the trail again and I came up to the Molson Amphitheatre. Selena Gomez and the Scene were playing there tonight.

Let's go to the Ex!

Though Inglis left the area in 1981, their sign still flashes inspirational messages. I hope they leave the sign there when they build the condos.

While I was walking, I listened to The Baddest of George Thorogood and the Destroyers and the Stray Cats' Built for Speed.

It was a great night for a walk!

  3. I havnt been out to that area in years! So cool that you can see the Ex from your walk. I was sure I commented on your last book post but I dont see it...I was saying thanks for the reminder of Linwood's books, I kept forgetting about them and loved his columns in The Star for all those years.
