I remember it like it was yesterday. I was at home as I had the morning off and planned to go to my job in downtown Toronto at noon. I was watching the news as the first plane had already hit the North tower but there was so much confusion and all the news anchors were reporting it as a bizarre accident. I was also on the phone to a friend who worked at the TD tower downtown, talking about the news when I saw the 2nd plane coming toward the South tower and said to her, " I think the TV just switched to a movie, that's so weird." A second later I realized what was happening. That moment still exists with crystal clear clarity in my heart; the disbelief, horror and the devastating grief that followed. "Oh my god! Oh my god!"

This is a wonderful tribute, Teena. May we never forget the 2,996 people who died that day, and send out special love to the loved ones of those murdered on September 11, 2011.
