The Pour House Sports Bar & Grill, Stratford, ON

After we saw The Grapes of Wrath, Gord and I walked around for about a half hour looking for someplace to have supper.

We wanted to try a restaurant we hadn't been to before. We were surprised to find a lot of restaurants closed. Closed on a Sunday in a touristy town?!

We ended up at The Pour House on Downie Street, ironically right across the street from the theatre. We've been there a couple times over the years.

After hearing so much about deep fried mac 'n cheese this summer, we ordered it (appies were half-price).

It was okay. It takes like Kraft Dinner. Interesting to try but I wouldn't get it again.

Gord ordered bacon-wrapped meatloaf and fries. He said it was okay.

I ordered a chicken tenders sandwich (with wing sauce) and traded the fries for mashed potatoes. It was okay.

Nicole was our server and she took good care of us.

How are you?
This place seems very nice.
Here in Brazil has some networks that resemble with the foods from USA and Canada. They are really tasty.

Cheers!

It's funny how your review matches the urbanspoon score pretty exactly. :)
