Roncesvalles Polish Festival, Toronto, ON

Gord and I walked to the Roncesvalles Polish Festival this afternoon ... we'd never been before.

Apparently it's North America's largest celebration of Polish culture.

Hungry? How about some fresh churros?

Or some Malaysian food?

There was lots to buy.

I bet the kids had fun.

Pretty shiny jewellery!

Gord and I had a Polish beer in one of the beer gardens.

We listened to some Polish music.

No, he's not playing a chicken ... it's some weird instrument. This group was from Hamilton.

Wanna take some time to chill and play a giant game of chess?

You can buy some Polish swag.

Craving a hot dog or a sausage?

Ted was entertaining.

These young dancers from Windsor were fabulous!

Craving some Thai food?

How about some Chuck Berry tunes?

This couple loved it and were dancing!

Back to shopping!

This lady was stylin'!

They were expecting over 200,000 people this year. It was jammed!

This band played traditional Polish music.

This couple enjoyed them and were dancing.

Craving some corn on the cob?

These Peruvian musicians seem to be at all the festivals.

This girl played folk/blues music.

This group played twangy country ... how can you not love a band that has a fiddle and a banjo?

Looking south just before we left.

This group played traditional Polish music.

The military were at the north end of the festival.

It was a fun time walking up Roncie checking out the festival. I'd check it out again.

  1. Looks like a fun event!
I find it funny how much non-Polish food was for sale. Also, love the giant Chess piece.

  2. Looks like a lot of fun. We went to Ukie fest. Most years they are on different weekends and we'll go to both.
