Toronto Blue Jays 4, Los Angeles Angels 3

Tonight was the last home game for the Blue Jays and Gord and I were there.

It was a great night for baseball! Our seats were in section 127. The dome was open and we had a great view of the CN Tower as the sun was setting.

Here are a couple of the Jays at bat ... Eric Thames and José Bautista.

The attendance was just over 22,000.

Gord's son, Ken, was there with some friends a couple sections over. We didn't get to talk to him but he and texted a bit about the game.

There was a purple light running up the CN Tower once it got dark.

The umps called Adam Lind out at second base at one point. The crowd and John Farrell, the Jays' manager, thought otherwise.

Here are me and Gord.

At the end of the ninth inning, the score was tied 3 - 3. Edwin Encarnación hit a homerun in the 12th inning giving the Jays the victory. Whoohoo!

The final score was 4 - 3.

As we were leaving, we walked by the Rogers Sportsnet desk with Jamie Campbell and former Jays catcher Gregg Zahn and watched them do the wrap-up for the TV broadcast.

Alas, the Jays didn't make it into the playoffs ... maybe next year.
