Crumpet got spayed today.
I dropped her off on my way to work this morning and picked her up this afternoon.
She has to wear a cone for 14 days which she isn't be happy about ... but it's best way to keep her from licking the incision. She's pulled it off three times already!
Here she is with Gord.
The vet said she was a sweet girl today ... very friendly! She now weighs 3.08kg (6.8 pounds), a gain of 0.82kg (1.8 pounds) since her last check up in August.
The vet said she will be groggy tonight. He doesn't know Crumpet very well ... she's running around with her toy now.
I first read the title as "spa day" and was wondering how Crumpet was pampered, but it looks like quite the opposite! LOLz. Glad she's doing well, I can't imagine trying to keep a cone on a cat's head - they're so active and wily!
ReplyDeleteits amazing how much we pamper our kitties. when I kept 3 feral females after their spay it was all I could do to keep then locked it the guest room. No cones for them and the next female that we has spayed was lactating so we had to release her right away. Glad to see that Crumpet is adjusting with her active spirit intact.
ReplyDeleteCrumpet looks like an unhappy kitty in that first pic. I'm glad she's doing all right though.
ReplyDeleteShe looks no worse for wear. Poor little crumpet with the cone, they all hate that.
ReplyDeleteGlad she's doing well.
ReplyDeleteLady Banana: Yesterday she was able to pull the cone off and the first thing she did was lick the incision. She's getting used to the cone ... yay!
ReplyDeleteAw, what a sweet little baby!!! Very pretty, too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with MLC-I totally saw 'spa day' and I was like Ooooh, pampering! What does that have to do with a spayed kitty? LOL
I'm glad the little furbaby is doing good!
Glad to see that Crumpet is adjusting with her active spirit intact.
