Bâton Rouge Steakhouse & Bar, North York, ON

Gord and I met his friends and their wives for supper tonight at Bâton Rouge in North York.

Gord has been friends with Alfred, Craig and Kevin for about 50 years (since they were eight years old!).

I ordered the Bâton Rouge Chicken Tenders Platter (their signature chicken tenders made fresh to order, hand-battered and fried to golden perfection. Served with their famous BBQ and our original Dijonnaise sauces for dipping) with garlic mashed potatoes. They were good!

Gord also got the tenders but he got his with French fries and coleslaw.

Most of us got ribs and tenders. Here are Craig's ribs, fries and beans.

Christine got the pork chop special and veggies.

A couple desserts were ordered but I was too full.

And here we are ... Alfred, Christine, Kevin, Rosemary, Qianna (hiding behind her mom, Rosemary), Rachel, Wendy, Craig, me and Gord.

Here are Alfred and his wife, Christine.

Here are Kevin and his wife, Rosemary.

Here are Rachel and her parents, Wendy and Craig.

And here are me and Gord.

It's been a couple years since we've gotten together so it was fun to catch up.

Our server was Nick and he took good care of us. Though we were a party of 10, I like that he didn't automatically put the group tip on.

Looks like you had a fantastic get-together. I haven't been at Baton Rouge in a while, but the last time I was there, I wasn't really impressed with the menu choices back then. Might have to check it out again sometime soon.
