Wandering around on a country morning

Gord's parents, Minnie and Keith, live in the country, about 2.5 hours NE of Toronto.

You can't even see their next neighbour.

Their home is an old farmhouse that they have added to over the years. It is the house where Keith, Gord's stepdad, was born and raised (Keith is in his mid-80s).

Gord's parents moved there full-time about 25 years ago (they lived in north Toronto before that and would head to this house on the weekends).

Gord and I took a stroll around their "yard" this morning.

It was frosty!

This old barn near the house has always fascinated me ... the stories it could tell. Years ago, it was a working barn (Keith's dad had cows, horses, sheep and chickens).

Gord and I went in it ...

So different and much more peaceful that Toronto!

Some of those pictures look like they are straight out of a magazine!

Great pics! How cool would it be to live in the home you were born in. I think the idea of home would have an even deeper meaning and connection for someone like Gord's step-dad.

Some fantastic photos - I could almost imagine myself there, on a cold, crispy morning with that frost.
