Olde Yorke Fish & Chips, Toronto, ON

Baljeet, Helene, Imran and I had lunch today at Olde Yorke Fish & Chips (Laird/Eglinton E).

It's about a ten minute drive from the office and we go every once in a while on a Friday.

It's quite a busy spot so we try to get there just before noon. Today it was packed and we got one of the last tables.

They started us off with a basket of bread and butter.

Baljeet, Imran and I ordered Haddock & Chips (6oz portion, an East Coast favourite). Look at the size of that fish! Delish! The batter isn't too thick, which I like.

Helene ordered Weightwatcher (broiled haddock) with fries. She said hers was delicious too.

And here we are ... Imran, Baljeet, me and Helene.

Despite how busy the restaurant was, Stacey, our server, took good care of us.

A fun lunch!

  2. I'm a HUGE fish lover, so I'm drooling over my keyboard right now! LOL

I like mine breaded, but we'll say breading doesn't like me, so I think I'd opt for the weight watchers your friend got, which looks just as delicious :)

  3. That's near my 'hood. Well, sort of. Either way, I've been there and it's soooo good.

  4. This is one of my favourite places to fish & chips - not only because a friend's parent's own it, but because the food is worth the drive from Mississauga!
