Tonight the Jays were playing the Boston Red Sox. This game sold out within an hour of tickets going on sale. Our seats were in the second level, just right of third base.
Coming into tonight's game, the Jays were 2-1, with two games going into extra innings.
We got there early to beat the crowd and watched batting practice.
There was a moment of silence while two junior ball players were honoured.
During the singing of the national anthems, the fans on the lower level got to participate.
We'd seen the guy singing the national anthems at a Toronto Rock game last month ... he has an amazing voice.
Let the game begin!

The Renaissance Hotel is attached to the Rogers Centre and has windows that face towards the field ... a popular spot tonight.
The 50/50 draw was a sweet prize ... $13,452!! Alas, Gord and I didn't win it.
The Jays were winning 2-1 ... until the ninth inning when they fell apart and let Boston catch up 4-2.
With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, J.P. Arencibia was our last chance to get the game back.
Alas, it didn't happen and the Jays lost. A game that started with a tremendous amount of excitement ended with a loss.
The final score was 4-2 for the Red Sox.

VERY NICE! Scoring tickets to one of the most popular events in the spring each year. Looks like you guys had great seats.
Nice fun way to spend some time on a long weekend. Hope they have a successful season.
Sounds like a fabulous time (even though our Blue Jays lost)!! It's still early in season,hopefully things will get better!!
