Yelp's Elite Crappy Hour at the Gladstone

I've been Yelping since 2010 and am an elite Yelper.

This evening at the Gladstone Hotel in the Melody Lounge, there was a Crappy Hour for Elite Yelpers event and our guests (of course, I took Gord).  From 6pm to 8pm, we had complementary appetizers and drinks.  What was especially good was that the Gladstone is in our 'hood.

There were three liquor stations ... for martinis, margaritas and beer.  The appetizers included wings, ribs, fish tacos, quesadillas and sliders (alas, the sliders didn't make it as far as us).

I started with a Blue Lagoon and some hot chicken wings ... yum!

Gord ran into Martin, a guy he works with, who is more cool than he is.

There were quite a few people and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Jeremy from the Gladstone and Yelp rep Crystal gave out prizes for meal certificates and a hotel room at the Gladstone if you tweeted about the party.  Alas, I didn't win anything.

I had a nice chat with Jeremy about the Gladstone ... what a great piece of history!

Can't wait for the next event!

  1. Alas, I only became an Elite like, a day ago and it was too late to RSVP. Looks like everyone had a blast and it definitely looked like a packed house! Can't wait for the next Elite Event!

  2. I guess I don't "yelp" enough to get invited. I always forget. Good for you Teena! :)

  3. I've heard of yelp, but I haven't done a lot of it-I didn't realize they had events for elite yelpers! That's pretty neat and a great way to connect with their users :)

It sounds (and looks) like it was a great time!

  4. Nice Event. I can assure you however that Martin is in absolutely no way cooler than Gord. This is undisputed fact. Cheers Teena!
