246 Harbord Street, Toronto

This is a building I drive by every day on my way to work on Harbord Street, just west of Bathurst.

For some reason, this building fascinates me.  It's obviously been closed down for a while.  As I'm stuck at the light in front of it, waiting to make a left, I think it would be a nice pub, with a small patio in the front.  Here it is this morning.

I wondered what it used to be so I Googled the address.

I found this picture from 1986 on Flickr.

I never would have guessed that it had been a garage.  It seems it most recently was a holistic practitioner.

I think it's a cute building and hope someone breathes new life into it soon.

I love old buildings. It would be an amazing pub, also a cool bookstore!
