Gord and I are on vacation and heading to St. John's, Newfoundland, for a week.
Our flight was scheduled to leave at 11:50am this morning and we were at the airport by 10:30am.
The flight kept getting delayed due to fog in St. John's. The flight before ours got rerouted to Gander, Newfoundland ... last I'd heard, it's still there. Finally about 2:30pm, our flight was cancelled.
The flights after ours were fully booked. We were told to go home and try to get a flight out tomorrow ... but we have to be in St. John's by tomorrow afternoon and the early flight was booked. The best we could do was fly to Halifax, Nova Scotia, this evening and catch an early flight to St. John's early early tomorrow. The flights to Halifax today had been delayed ... but ours made it. Yippee!
So we spent eight plus hours sitting at the airport going nowhere ... definitely not how I expected today to go. By now, we should have been at the George Street Festival with a beer in hand rather than in a hotel near the airport with a 4:30am wake-up call for tomorrow.
Fingers crossed it's not foggy in St. John's tomorrow and we can get there.

Goodness, from the sounds of it, you guys have issues traveling! Fingers crossed that you'll be able to be at your destination with that well deserved beer in hand in no time :)
Oh no! Traveling delays suck. Hope you made it safely.
