Trish and I saw Ted this evening.
As the result of a childhood wish, John Bennett's teddy bear, Ted, came to life and has been by John's side ever since - a friendship that's tested when Lori, John's girlfriend of four years, wants more from their relationship.
Though I like Mark Wahlberg, I wasn't expecting much from this movie. The Toronto Star gave it a good review, though (three out of four stars).
I was pleasantly surprised because it's actually quite a funny movie, very rude and crude at times. I forgot right away that Ted wasn't real (ie that he was a teddy bear). There are some hilarious cameos that were a surprise. Ted and John get into a fight at one point and it's hilarious ... it's the best fight scene I've seen in a long time.
If you are looking for a funny movie, you should check it out.
Here are Trish and I after the movie.

Looks like it very funny. Perhaps I will break my embargo on the movies and check it out.
i am actually intrigued by this movie....i figure if mark wahlberg is in it it has to be decent.....
I'm still on the fence about this one but I'm sure I'll end up seeing it eventually.
I like how the movie is mainly about a teddy bear but it's rated R.
