Jack Astor's Bar & Grill, Toronto ON (Front Street)

I had supper tonight with my pal, Deb, and her friend, Christine, at Jack Astor's on Front Street.

Deb and Christine shared an order of Lobster & Crab Dip (Lobster, crabmeat, cream cheese, mushrooms, peppers and onions oven-baked until bubbling. Served with nacho chips and warm pita bread triangles.).  They said it was very good and would order it again.

Deb got an order of Jack's Golden Calamari (Marinated calamari breaded to order. Cooked golden brown and served with roasted garlic lemon aioli and spicy cocktail sauce.).  She said it was very good and would order it again.

Christine got an order of Thai Chicken Summer Rolls (Marinated fresh chicken breast, carrots, cucumbers, red peppers, lettuce & rice noodles all wrapped in rice paper. Topped with crispy wonton strips & toasted sesame seeds. Served with a Pan-Asian dipping sauce.).  She said it was very good and would order it again.

I ordered Cluckin’ Good Chicken Wings (Jumbo wings, flour-dusted and tossed in medium wing sauce.).  They were okay.

Here's Christine ...

And here are me and Deb ...

It was REALLY LOUD at this restaurant which made it hard to talk.  It was fairly busy for a Wednesday.

As always, it was great to see Deb ... we've been friends almost 20 years!  And it was so nice to meet Christine!
