Jack Astor's Bar & Grill, Toronto ON (Front Street)

I had supper tonight with my pal, Franca, at Jack Astor's on Front Street.

Franca had the California Grilled Chicken Salad ( A marinated grilled fresh chicken breast and hothouse tomatoes, served on mixed greens with balsamic dressing. Topped with fresh basil, toasted pine nuts, beet curls and a balsamic glaze.)

I had what I usually have there ... Chicken Parmigiana (Fresh chicken breast, lightly breaded and topped with smoked Mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Served with bowtie pasta, tossed in a creamy cheese sauce.).  It was good, though they were a little stingy with the cheese on the chicken.

Here are me and Franca ...

Franca and I have been friends for almost twenty years.  It's been a couple months since we've gotten together and it was nice to get caught up.

Our server was friendly, though it took him a while to get us the bill.  It just gave us more time to talk, right?

Here's the restaurant when I I left.
