Mont Tremblant Airport, Quebec

Gord and I are spending a couple days in Mont Tremblant to bring in the new year.

Porter flies from the Toronto Island Airport to the airport in Mont Tremblant in 70 minutes during ski season.  Sweet!

When we landed, we got off the airplane onto the runway.  Then we have to walk into the airport.  It looks like a log cabin ... how cute is that?!

Here's the entrance to the airport.

Across the driveway from the entrance from the airport are trees.

Luggage is taken off the plane and left on the other side of the fence.  You find your suitcase and put it on the van and trailer that is heading to your hotel (there are no car rentals or taxis).  The ride to the pedestrian village of Mont Tremblant is about 40 minutes ... very picturesque!

There's the plane we just got off ... looks like it's out in the middle of nowhere, doesn't it?  Well, it is!

January 2 update:  The shuttle picked us up at our hotel an hour and a half before our flight today (it was right on time).  The guy tagged and checked in our luggage right on the spot and put it in the trailer attached to his van.  We didn't have to worry about it until we landed in Toronto.  Sweet!  The cost of the return shuttle from the Mont Tremblant to the hotel and then back to the airport was $35.
