Casino de Mont-Tremblant, Quebec

Gord and I had some time after lunch 'til we had to catch the shuttle to the airport.

There is a free gondola that takes you from the pedestrian village to the casino so we checked it out ... it takes about ten minutes each way.  You can also take a bus but we thought the gondola would be more fun ... and it was!

The view was amazing!

Here I am ... I was sooooo cold!

Here's Gord.

Here's the casino ... it's about a five minute walk from the gondola to the casino.

We went in to check it out but discovered we'd have to leave our coats and backpacks (which had our laptops, Kobos, wallets, etc.) at the coatcheck so we didn't bother.

Alas, Gord slid on some ice and ended up spraining his ankle :(  Well, good thing he did it on our last day of vacation rather than the first.

We got back on the gondola and headed back to the pedestrian village.

 Such a nice ride!

I always love gondola rides for that spectacular view - however never saw one like this in winter (usually summer). Too bad Gord sprained his ankle!
