Toronto Rock 17, Calgary Roughnecks 12

Gord and I went to the Toronto Rock game tonight.

The Toronto Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise founded in 1998. They were leading in the Eastern Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and they were playing against the Calgary Roughnecks, who were leading in the Western Division.

I brought my new camera because I wanted to try it out.  But I was stopped by the security and had to check it at customer service.  Apparently you can't bring in a camera to the ACC that is more than 75mm (mine is 180mm).  I didn't know and wasn't happy about that.  Luckily Gord brought both of his cameras and I borrowed one of his.

Here come the Rock!

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem ... there was also a woman who was signing it.

And the game began!

Hey!  There's a picture I took of Gord at the March 3, 2012, game on the jumbo tron .. they must have taken it from my blog or his.  Cool!

 The Rock cheerleaders entertained.

At the end of the first quarter, Calgary was leading 5 -3.  Oh oh!

Toronto tied it in the second quarter.  Whoohoo!

Toronto took the lead in the second quarter ... yippee!

It was a scrappy game!

At the end of the second quarter, Toronto was ahead ... yay!

Here's the view from our seats.

Oh oh ... another fight.  Calgary's #4 Geoff Snider got kicked out of the game for this fight.

And another fight!

Iggy was charming the ladies!

Oh oh ... another fight!

At the end of the third quarter, Toronto was winning 14 - 9.  Way to go!

Yet another fight!

The 50/50 draw was $3500.  Alas, Gord and I didn't win ... we were close, though.

The attendance was 10,026.

The Rock won ... 17 - 12!  Yay!

We always see a guy take stuff down after the game.  Does this look safe??!!

Gord soooooo wanted a Colin Doyle (the captain) bobble head but they were gone by the time we got there.  When we were leaving, he spied one under a seat and happily took it.
