Toronto Rock 12, Edmonton Rush 17

Gord and I went to the Toronto Rock game this afternoon ... they were playing the Edmonton Rush.

The Toronto Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise founded in 1998. They are in the Eastern Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthem.

The Rock huddled to get psyched.  Go Rock, go!

The start of the game ...

Iggy was schmoozing with the crowd.

The Toronto Rock cheerleaders entertained.

Again they showed a picture I took of Gord at the March 3, 2012, game on the jumbo tron .. they must have taken it from my blog or his.

The game was fairly scrappy.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock were losing 6 - 2.

Once it got to 8 - 2, the Rock pulled their goalie, Nick Rose, and put Zak Boychuk in instead.

The cheerleaders entertained again.

At the end of the second quarter, the Rock were losing 9 - 5.

We were in section 109 ... here's the view from our seats.

More fighting ...

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were down 14 - 8.

They announced that the attendance was 9,947 ... there seemed to be a lot of empty seats.

The 50/50 draw was $3,768 ... alas, Gord and I weren't even close.

The Rock lost 17 - 12.  They played sloppy so no wonder they lost.

Here are the Rock congratulating the Rush.

And thanking their fans ...
