Toronto Rock 14, Colorado Mammoth 10

Gord and I went to the Toronto Rock game tonight.

The Toronto Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise founded in 1998. They are in the Eastern Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and were playing against the Colorado Mammoth.

The Rock came out, cheered by their cheerleaders.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock huddled to get psyched.  Go Rock, go!

The start of the game ...

Right away they showed a picture I took of Gord at the March 3, 2012, game on the jumbo tron .. they must have taken it from my blog or his.

After the first quarter, Colorado was ahead 2 - 4.  Oh oh!

 The Rock cheerleaders entertained.

By the end of the second quarter, Toronto was leading 9 - 6.  Yay!

The cheerleaders were back.

By the end of the third quarter, Toronto was winning 11 - 9.

Everyone was encouraged to bring a food donation for the Food Bank.  The owner of the Rock said he'd donate $25,000 if the game was a sell-out.  It wasn't.

The 50/50 draw was $4,883.  Alas, we weren't close.

It was an exciting game.  There were lots of goals that were disputed and disallowed.  There was a penalty shot for Toronto.  In the end, the Rock won ... 14 - 10.  Yay!

 The Rock thanked their fans.

The ticket booth at the ACC is supposed to stay open for 30 minutes after the game. We were there less than 15 minutes after the game to buy tickets for the next game. The light was on and there was an open sign in one of the windows ... but there was no one in sight.  There were others with us wanting to buy tickets.  I called "Hello" ... and a few seconds later the lights went out and there was no response.  Not very impressive customer service :(
