Toronto Rock 10, Rochester Knighthawks 9

Gord and I went to the Toronto Rock game this afternoon ... they were playing the Rochester Knighthawks.

The Toronto Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise founded in 1998. They are in the Eastern Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

The Rock cheerleaders came out before the game.

 Iggy was pumped!

Here come the Rock!

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock huddled to get psyched.

And the game began ...

Again they showed a picture I took of Gord at the March 3, 2012, game on the jumbo tron .. they must have taken it from my blog or his.

We sat in section 105 ... here's the view from our seats.

After the first quarter, the Rock was winning 5 - 3. Yay!

Iggy joined the Rock cheerleaders and danced to Footloose.

The Rock was winning 7 - 4 after the second quarter.  Yay!

The Rock cheerleaders entertained again.

The attendance at today's game was 13,073 ... the biggest crowd at a home game.

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock was winning 8 - 6.  Yay!

The 50/50 draw was $4,563.  Sweeeeeet!  Whoever was the 11th to buy tickets after us won.  So close!

The Rock won 10 - 9 ... yay!

 The Rock thanked their fans.

This was their last home game ... there's one game left in the season.  Today's win clinched first place in their division.

We'll be at the playoff game on April 28.  Go, Rock, go!

  1. Hey! We were there too! I have season tickets. It was a close game, and I took both my boys - who told me they were having fun - until the 4th quarter when my oldest pronounced he was bored, and at the end of the game my 6yo asked me who won...

Now they both want to go to the game on the 28th. lol.
