Varadero, Cuba - Friday

Though I was wide awake from 5:30am to 7am, I fell back to sleep and slept in ‘til 9am this morning. 

Once I had breakfast, I headed for the beach for a couple hours.

This was my view for a couple hours!  The water was amazing!

Around 11:30am, I headed for the pool ... and that’s where I found Sister Sarah and some of the group she is traveling with.

Though this is a five star resort, I haven’t been impressed with the food at the main dining room (it’s a buffet). I had lunch at the pool restaurant and ordered a hamburger and fries ... the burger was really good!

After lunch, I headed back to the pool for a couple hours to relax and catch some rays.

It's Naomi's birthday today and they brought her a cake.

We went to the show ... the theme was Mr Resort.  It was long and lame.

Then we headed to the disco.  They played a mixture of disco, today's pop and Cuban.
