Novo Spa, Toronto, ON

Rather than buy each other something for our birthdays that we don't need, Gord and I treat each other to treatments at a spa.  This afternoon we went to Novo Spa in Yorkville for my birthday ... we'd never been there before.

After we changed into our robes, Gord and I met up in the couples' lounge.

There was a room down the hall if you wanted tea, cookies or apples.

The first thing we did was have a couple's hot stone massage.  We've had a hot stone massage once before and it wasn't done right ... the stones were wet and drippy.  This time it was awesome ... Irena, my massage therapist, spent a lot of time in my lower back (it's been burning lately) and the hot stones added to the experience.

Next up was a pedicure.  I chose Opi's Purple with a Purpose for my toes.

We went back to the lounge afterwards to let our toes dry.  Gord had a nice snooze (yes, he was snoring).

It was a very nice experience.  The ladies at Novo Spa were very friendly and I would recommend this spa.
