The Blue Jays are hosting five Summer Friday Fan Festivals and the first one was this evening outside of Gates 10 and 11. It was a licensed event open to all fans with tickets to the game. Starting at 4:30pm and ending at game time, ticket holders are able to enter the Friday Fan Festival before entering Rogers Centre. There was live music by Stone the Radio (they were really good!), interactive games and activities. We got there about 6:30pm ... next time if I go to a Friday game, I'll go earlier and hang out longer.
Inside Rogers Centre, Jamie Campbell and former Blue Jays Gregg Zaun were broadcasting in their Sportsnet booth.
Pitcher Mark Buehrle was warming up in the outfield with cather J.P. Arencibia.
José Reyes really got stretched out ... ouch!
Fan favourite, Munenori Kawasaki, stretched by himself.
The daughters of Jays' head trainer, George Poulis, sang the national anthems.
We sat in section 137, which is below the jumbotron. I've never sat there before so it was good to get a different perspective.
When he was in the outfield, José Bautista never stopped stretching and moving.
Colby Rasmus waiting for a ball to be hit to him.

Here are Gord and Roger.
It had been raining all day so the roof was closed. It was pretty humid inside the Rogers Centre. By the second inning, the rain had stopped and the roof started opening ... 20 minutes later it was fully open and the air felt great!. Yay!
Until last year there was a restaurant called Windows under the jumbotron. This year they renovated and it's now a standing only spot to watch the game.
We wandered over for a couple innings. It's attracting a more boisterous crowd.
Here's the view.
I saw this across on the other side in the 500 section ... I wonder if Sarah said yes.
During the seventh inning stretch, Ace encouraged the crowd to get moving.
At the end of the seventh inning, we moved over to sit in some second level seats.
If the Jays had gotten at least seven strikeouts, everyone could have redeemed their tickets on Monday for a free piece of pizza from Pizza Pizza. Alas, they only got five.
The Jays won ... whoohoo!
Ace was happy!
The stats for tonight's game ...
It was hard to get a good shot of the CN Tower with the bright lights of the Rogers Centre.
