Hampton Inn & Suites, Brantford, ON

I've had enrolment seminars to conduct in Brantford and Paris the last couple days.

The first one each day is at 7am so rather than driving from Toronto (more than an hour away without traffic or snow), I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Brantford which is halfway between each client site.

It was kind of out in the middle of nowhere ... you have to drive to get to a restaurant.

Here's my room ... it was huge!

I spent the extra $10 a night for a jacuzzi in my room
The view from my window
Of course, I used the tub!

The room was $129/night.  The bed was comfy and I slept well.  There was a mini fridge and microwave oven in my room. Parking was free as is WIFI (it's fast). There was a complimentary continental breakfast with hot options (I grab some yogurt and an apple to go in the mornings). There is a salt water pool but I didn't use it.  There is no restaurant in the hotel and no options within walking distance.

Last evening there was a reception ... free appies and drinks from 6pm to 8pm.  It happens Monday to Thursday evenings.  I checked it out.  They set out bottles of wine, beer and pop along with veggies, chicken wings and pepperoni pizza (which I'm assuming they ordered from a nearby pizza place) and you helped yourself.  I had enough wings and pizza that I didn't need to have supper (I'd had a big lunch earlier).

I liked the hotel, my room and the friendliness of the staff but I found it was a bit too isolated.

  1. I don't like being in isolated places, either, but the room does look nice.
