I've copied and pasted the following from Gord's blog.
You'll need:
- 8 skinless bone-in chicken thighs
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 apple, peeled and grated
- 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce, mild or spicy depending on what you like
- 1/2 cup of chicken broth
- 5-6 quart slow cooker or crock pot
Skin the chicken and and wrap a slice of bacon around each piece and place in the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the onion and apple over top. Pour in BBQ sauce and chicken broth.
Cover and cook for six hours. After the first hour, lift up each piece of chicken to allow the sauce to freely flow under it and place back down.
We served ours with rice.
It was delicious! And there's leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Yay!
Who doesn't love bacon? This sounds amazing!!
ReplyDeleteLooks good! Am I the only one who does not have a slow cooker?
