They were were playing the Minnesota Swarm. The Swarm had a 1 - 6 record so it should have been an easy win (the Rock had a 3 - 4 record).
The Rock Cheerleaders entertained before the game started.

The Rock huddled to get psyched.
And the game began ...
It was a fairly scrappy game right away.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock was winning 4 - 2. Yay!

While the goalies got their equipment measured, the cheerleaders entertained again.
There were a couple games during the commercial breaks ... get pizza boxes in the goal to win six months of free pizza.

At the end of the second quarter, the Rock were winning 7 - 4. Yippee!
We met Roger and Ben, his dad, during the intermission (Gord and Roger work together). As season ticket holders, we had vouchers for free tickets that Roger and Ben used this evening (they sat in the same section as us).

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were winning 13 - 4. Whoohoo!
The attendance at tonight's game was just over 9,000.

The Rock fell apart in the fourth quarter and barely won 14 - 12. Huh?!

Rock goalie, Nick Rose, let in eight goals in the fourth quarter yet was the second star of the game. Really??!!
