Toronto Rock 9, Rochester Knighthawks 17

The fourth Toronto Rock home game of the season was tonight and Gord and I were there (we have season's tickets this year).  The Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

The Rock were playing the Rochester Knighthawks ... Rochester had beat Toronto a couple weeks ago.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained before the game started.

Iggy was excited about tonight's game!

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

And then the game started ...

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock was winning 3 - 1 ... whoohoo!

The Rock cheerleaders entertained again in the second quarter.

At the end of the second quarter, the Knighthawks were winning 9 - 7.  Oh oh!

The Rock huddled to get psyched at the beginning of the third quarter.

The game started getting rougher and there were some penalties.

The Rock took goalie Nick Rose out and replaced him with Zak Boychuk ... alas, it didn't make much of a difference.

The Rock cheerleaders entertained again ...

At the end of the third quarter, the Knighthawks were winning 16 - 8!  Eeek!

The attendance for tonight's game was just over 10,000.

Alas, the Rock lost 17 - 9 ...

The teams shook hands afterwards
The fans in front of us showed the Rock some love
The Rock players quickly thanked their fans

Not a great game!  Hopefully they'll get it together for next Saturday's game.
